While it's always hard, in the present time, to appreciate that life will be different in the future, that's the way it always happens. The 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil is still over a year from now. That's more than enough time for change to happen. Beirut, or what some people call beer pong, is a truly fantastic game. For those of you who, impossibly, are unfamiliar with the game, it’s fairly simple: google it. I’m not here to fill you in on the basic rules! In fact, considering you made it through college without picking it up means your aversion to the game is too strong for me to overcome. 
I graduated from Lafayette College in the spring of 2010, and spent the early part of the summer on the couch of my childhood home, applying for a few jobs and watching a lot of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. As I write this Blogcat over 2 years later, a few aspects of that footie tournament stand out in my memory. 
Earlier this morning I was flipping through the channels when I came across the Olympics. The event? Women's 20 kilometer "race walk." It's a type of foot race in which, apparently, you have to move as fast as possible while having at least one foot on the ground at all times (which you don't when you run).
